The following tutorial was created using Gameshark Media Player (NTSC) and is to help Gameshark users how to add codes and use their Gameshark Cheat Devices.
Step 1: Insert your Gameshark Cheat Disc into your PS2 and wait for the main screen to appear.
Step 2: Go to "
Expert Cheat Mode" and press "X".
You will now see the following screen.
Step 3: You will now be in the Game Cheat Index screen. Look under the "S" section to find your game SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006. If the game is not listed, then check under the "W" section for WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006. If you find your game listed, then you are ready to start adding codes. Skip to Step X to start adding codes.
If your game is not listed anywhere in the cheat list, then Press "O". Now choose the option "ADD" and press "X".
You will now see the following screen.
Step 4: Use the onscreen keyboard to type in the name of your game. In this case you will type in WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 or you may call it anything you like. Once you have entered the name, press Enter on the onscreen keyboard.
You have now successfully added your game to your cheat list as shown below.
Step 5: Highlight your game and press the Right button on your D-pad.
You will now see the following screen below.
Step 6: Press "O" and select the option "ADD".
You will now see the following screen below.
Step 7: Type in the name of your first code using the onscreen keyboard. Your first code will be the (M)astercode because your codes will not work unless you have a (M)astercode as your first code. The (M)astercode is what enables the codes to work so make sure to type in the (M)astercode first. So this means you will type in (M)astercode as your first cheat name. Once you have typed in (M)astercode, press Enter on the onscreen keyboard.
You will then return to your SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006's code list. You will notice it now says (M)astercode in your code list.
Step 8: Highlight the (M)astercode and press the Right button on your D-pad.
You will now be in the (M)astercode code list as shown below.
Step 9: Press "O" and select the option "ADD".
You will now enter the code input screen as shown below.
Step 10: Enter the first line of your (M)astercode.

Note: This tutorial is made using a Gameshark Media Player Version, therefore I will use the (M)astercode listed above. (Also works with Gameshark BroadBand Enabled and Gameshark2 Version 1.1 and higher.)

Step 11: Highlight the code you just entered and press "O". Now select "ADD". Enter the next line of the (M)astercode which is 980B860C 78D09A1E. Press Enter on the onscreen keyboard to complete your code.
You will now see your complete code as shown below.
Step 12: That's it! You have now successfully added your first code. Go ahead and smile and be proud for such an amazing accomplishment.
WARNING! When using Gameshark Media Player, Gameshark Broadband Enabled, or Gameshark2 version1.1 and higher, remember to always save your codes before starting your game with cheats. Every time you add codes you must follow the steps below or your codes will not take effect when starting your game.
1. Enter the codes.
2. Save the codes.
3. Reset the GameShark.
4. Select the codes.
5. Start the game.
