This could've been nice if you hadn't used that render. Other than the fact it doesn't really suit him you've really done that render to death. :P

Your best BG yet by a million million miles, it has depth and looks really nice. Not so sure about the colors but colors are easy to change. Render is dull, over blended, it should have an effect and be made to stand out on top of the BG rather than blending into it. As a rule of thumb I tend not to blend a render if its the only render on the piece, but I'm sure others would disagree with that. Its personal preference.

Could do with some text, but its not so bad without either. Reuse this BG with colors that aren't so dull, and a different render. :P

I think I have made better BGs than that actually. I like this one, but I'm not sure if it is my best.

I chose the yellow, because if the whole render was shown, he has yellow pants.

I have a total of maybe seven pictures I could put in a sig. I'm going to reuse them all to death :P

I do make my own cuts most of the time. Just too lazy to get more pictures, and don't have any ideas for them really. So, what do you think of the sig?

That was probably the feather effect Dday. Works better usually.

Well its the best I've seen, then. And colors should match what you can see, not some part of the render thats cut off and not on the sig.

And, get new renders then :P use PSDProtocol.com, and download them as PNGs, that way you don't have to cut out complex backgrounds, just a single color.
Also, if you're gonna blend a render in, colorize it to match the BG, or else it looks wrong IMO.

Mondo's color needs to match the BG. As in, desaturate him and stick him under your color layer(s).

...GIMP has layers, right?

Well, yes, but its harder to make it match the BG well if you colorize whereas if you just put him below color layers he'll match perfectly. Of course, in some cases its better to have a render be a slightly different color, but he doesn't match in V2 at all.

Better IMO, but now it could do with some text below Mondo, and don't make it tiny like you did with Kane. :P

V3 Looks best colorwise, but looks too blended in. As DLT said, your best background ever. Don't really have anything to say besides that and that you've used this render about x1000 :P

I actually like v3 the best. It's blended in pretty good. It just needs that little something to be complete.

Don't put blending options on your text, as in overlay or whatever they're calledi n GIMP, it makes it unreadable. Best thing to do to blend text is either just lower opacity, or rasterize the layer and blend it with brushes - whatever rasterizing is called in GIMP. When you have high contrasting background text will be unreadable if you try to overlay it, or something.

Make the text readable and I reckon it'll be pretty much done. :P

I'll do it when I get time, which will probably be in quite a while. But, describe to me what rasterating is

How about now DLT

Getting better, but you still need to know about depth, lighting.....well who am I kidding? You need to know a WHOLE LOT MORE! But getting better.

As for the sig. Same usual comments lol.

There is a difference between thinking something has depth and knowing something has depth. I can teach you about depth if you want. But not now since I'm gonna get food lol.

I prefer V1 to the rest, it would be cool to see it with a border but i also really like V3. Nice work
