Have any of you guys played Nitronic Rush? That game was bloody amazing and a breath of fresh air to the gaming world, it was like playing Tron... ON ACID. And the most amazing part is that it was just a fun small project that these guys did for their video game college. People loved that game. But the creators couldn't earn a penny off of it because it belonged to another company, called Digipen.

NOW, they are trying to establish themselves as game-makers and their first project is to make a sequel to NR that is just better than the original in every way! That sequel is called Distance and that's the game that you see on the pictures and videos. The point is to build off NR and improve it in every way possible by inculding more levels, multiplayer-modes, enhancing gameplay and even adding a Level-creator!

They are trying to raise money on Kickstarter to get this game made. Im not asking you to blindly donate for the sake of it, but please; Give the link a look, look at the gameplay video, and tell me if you don't find their project to be very appealing.

I myself have already donated 30 bucks. This game isn't even going to work on my old ass PC but I still gave them money simply because I like the punk spirit of what they are doing. They are trying to build a awesome game by themselves without any corporate politics involved and I truly respect that because that's what the gaming industry needs to come back to. People need to be allowed to make FUN games and let their creativity flow, without worrying about a contract, limiting the game to make money and pointless deadlines.

That's the kind of stuff that has ruined the gaming industry in my opinion. Politics and greed. Games nowadays are designed for the dumbest of children. They aren't thought-provocative or challenging, they are easy, dull and full of button-sequences where you just have to push one button to see an elaborate scene played it in front of you where you don't even get involved in the action.

Please support these guys on Kickstarter by sharing the link around, you can post it on facebook.

Donate if you'd like. Just a few bucks will get a really long way. I want to see this game become made. Posted Image The gaming industry desperately needs it.

Ok, I must be awful at proving my point. Tell you what. Try the gameplay out for yourself and tell me what you think.

The game is completely free. Nitronic Rush is the predecessor to Distance and it's gonna have the same gameplay. Distance is gonna take everything with Nitronic Rush and make it even better.
