Gamescom: Mass Effect 2 Coming To PS3
The wait is finally over.

Mass Effect 2 is coming to PlayStation 3.

BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka made the announcement today at Gamescom in Germany during Electronic Arts' press conference. No other details about the game were revealed.

The PlayStation 3 version contains the full Mass Effect 2 game and "hours of bonus content," though it is unclear at this time what that bonus content is.

"Mass Effect 2 is another great property coming to PS3 that will
compliment our PS3 line-up," Sony said in a statement.

EA set a release date for January, 2011. A company representative told IGN the publisher has "no plans" to bring Mass Effect 1 to PS3.

This is GREAT as that was probably the only 360 exclusive I DESPERATELY wanted to play. I heard rumors yesterday but I'm excited its confirmed.

Mass Effect 2 is good and all, but it's almost useless without the first one. The whole draw of Mass Effect 2 is that your choices from Mass Effect would carry over and your every action has lasting consequences, whether for the better or not, even carrying on into Mass Effect 3 down the road. Without the first game Mass Effect 2 loses a lot of it's appeal.

lol when i first heard this my jaw hung but PS3 deserves a good RPG game like Mass Effect its only fair seeing Microsoft whored the shit out of themselves having so many exclusives compared to the PS3
