not even worth it, I've played the PS2 version and I don't think they're even trying anymore and they're only putting it out on PS2 so the few stragglers who haven't upgraded to next gen yet will buy it
It's exactly the same game as 08 with a couple small features like controllable WR routes and avoidance stick. And a roster update of course. I'm glad I don't waste money on this series
Hell, I don't even have to, when I do wanna play, I can just go to ANY of my friends' houses because if you have ANY friends who own a gaming console chances are one of them buys Madden every year
(BTW, this is just my views on the PS2 version and NOT the next-gen versions so don't go bitching at me about it.)

I know. You're ****ed on all difficulties if the computer runs a slant. It's almost always a completion. I guess they want you to control the CB and actually cover the receiver, which as hard as hell.

But, what is that new EA Sports Family Play? Sounds like a bad mode to me. With the one button things, which eliminates a lot of action.

"Simplified one-button controls for inexperienced Madden players. This option is able to be selected in most game modes. In two player games, one or both players can select this option making it easy for an inexperienced player to compete with advanced players."
Wow. Just play on Rookie if you're a new player FFS

Yeah, I really may have to upgrade to PS3 soon. PS2 isn't getting any love But, being I only get like six or so games a year. Those being SVR, Madden, NBA Live, MLB, and in this year TNA. Plus a bonus game that seems to catch my eye at times. I am still able to use PS2, since these come out. At least I think NBA Live and MLB are coming out on PS2. If not, yeah I think I'll upgrade.

Just wondering, did you ever play ESPN NFL 2K5?

I did not actually. Isn't that the one that had Steve-O as an unlockable character though?

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend picking up NFL 2K5. It was a complete steal when it came out for 20 bucks. You can probably pick it up for less than 5 now. Trust me, you won't be disappointed there either. Personally, I think EA was threatened by the success that 2K5 had and jumped at the chance to get exclusive NFL rights. It's still being updated with current rosters. (If you have a save device, that is)

I will try to track down a copy if I can. Or at least a rental. It does sound rather impressive now. I don't have a saves device actually. I could just update rosters manually. At least for important changes.

I kinda doubt you'd be able to rent it anymore. Like I said, you can get it for under $5.00 at GameStop or something like that. I saw it for $0.99 at one here.

1. Sprint for the ball when he should. Instead of eating the receiver's dust.
2. Position his body right.
