Hogan is overrated now-a-days, maybe. Because people still think that he is what he was in the 80's. He really doesn't have much in ring ability anymore.

The thing about Hogan, is that he pretty much turned wrestling into what it is today. Because of that, it's really hard for me to call him overrated. I can, and did say that he is overrated today. But to say that he's always been overrated just doesn't seem right to me.

I too liked him as Goldust. I think that he should go into training though, because he seems to be past his prime. He can still give great promos though, I will give him that.

Ultimate Warrior was always over-rated. He was never a good wrestler, he was just another big muscle wrestler, who had nothing but strength. His matches against Hercules were horrible. Watching those matches is like torture.

Ultimate Warrior has had one good match, with Randy Savage at Wrestlemania. Other than that, he has been awful. The one minute matches, the squashes, the sloppieness, just terrible. The promos were funny, because of how bad they were.

Congratulations on your 100th post Enigma.

Yes, you're right. Today Hogan is very overrated, however back during the 80's and such when wrestling was more simple he wasn't too overrated. Sure, even back then he wasn't a great wrestler, but he was decent enough, and back then it was easier to convince people that you were good. Hogan got a lot of his draw from being WWE's poster boy for America, sure they had Jim Duggan but Hogan was practically unstoppable and seemed like the real life version of Superman with his whole "Say your prayers, take you vitamins, etc." shtick and patriotism for the USA.

Warrior is pretty horrible, as was said, even back then he wasn't any good in the ring. He wore himself out before the match even began with his entrance and by the time the bell rang he was already pretty winded. All he had going for him is a colorful character and a muscular body. On the mic he was pretty awful too, he was crazy sounding, like Savage, but couldn't sell it as well and Macho at least sounded like he had made some valid points in a strange way. I still remember the deranged sound promo Warrior cut about hijacking Hogan's plane, beating up the pilots, and then nose diving the plane into the ground with Hogan still on it. It was pretty crazy sounding.

Hogan was the best, in a simpler time. If he were to wrestle now though, things would be far different.

Warrior was insane, not in a good way. I couldn't find the plane prome, I remember it though. I did find this however:

.... Oh god .... people want me to talk about Vampiro? Oh god .... sorry,

Vampiro is one of the crappest wrestler to have ever plagued the planet! He couldn’t work properly, he was too stiff with the wrong people, he couldn’t bump for shit! His selling makes me cry like the little girl that I am, and he screws up practically every move he’s ever tried at the absolute worst times possible. The guy’s like a negative freaking Ric Flair, since he can have a -***** match with anybody! Hell, at least if you pair him with Ric ****ING Flair you can let Flair carry him to a DUD rating, can’t you!?

Ever seen his match with Mike Awesome (Mike Awesome by the way, not some shitty wrestler)? Worst. Match. Ever. And we’re not talking people calling the Big Show-Kane anti-classic from Backlash 2006 the shittest thing in wrestling; the Awesome-Vampiro match makes everyone look awesome, and that’s NOT a compliment. The man botched a “hitting head off a table” spot for Christ’s sake!!! SERIOUSLY!? Even freaking Floyd Mayweather, in his one match in WWE, showed more wrestling skill than Vampiro EVER could, at least Mayweather bounced about. Christ's sake, Jay Leno's best match was better than Vampiro's, so was David Arquette! God I hate Vampiro.

And then there’s his WSX shit. Great freaking deal, the man proved once again why he can’t sell to save his life, and managed to set somebody’s ****ing face on fire because he’s such a freaking dumbass! Why try it!? And he can’t even throw a freaking punch, because the guy is so clumsy in the ring it’s like watching Khali stoned, while drinking heavily, taking shit loads of sleeping pills all the while talking on his phone and trying to lick his elbow all at once. GOD I HATE VAMPIRO!! His punches blatantly miss by at least a foot. I reckon I could throw more realistic ones. It instantly had to make the poor ******* that's in the ring with him look like crap because they have to sell his awful work.

And his gimmick. Wow, what a ******* gimmick he has! You’re a goth, cool! At least Sting had an awesome gimmick until they ****ed it up at Starrcade 1997. Jesus, can I ever rant when I’m angry. Vampiro is a sin against wrestling, dropping far too many people on their head, and not in an awesome controlled ROH kind of way – in a “hey, this guy could be arrested for this” kind of way. The man had a bad match with Sting, and The Great Muta, and poor matches with Eddie Guerrero, Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio! One bad match with one of these guys because you don’t have chemistry is fine. But if you can’t work with any of those four, you have NO business in wrestling. The man is a goof, who, as I’ve said several times since I first heard the idea, should have been renamed Campiro, so he wouldn’t have to change his sloppy, disjointed, horrible looking wrestling style or his crappy face paint.

And to show how ******* WCW booking was, the man got a freaking WCW title shot in 2000. How people liked this guy I’ll never know. Although, he can take some credit that he got a title shot in 2000, he’s now in the same league as so many equally crappy wrestlers (wait, equally crappy to Vampiro? HOLY SHIT!?). Besides, at least he didn’t win the freaking title! Give me David Arquette anyday, at least Arquette had a four star match once when he lost the title. The closest Vampiro’s gotten to a good match was when Awesome nearly killed him with the Awesomebomb, although that was already well into the –ve stars its unbelievable. Would have been well worth it if Vampiro never wrestled again afterwards, but nooooo, he had to have those absolutely awful WSX death matches where he did **** all, while still endangering so many opponents because he’s such a dick.

… *breathes* .... sorry ....

AND ANOTHER THING! The man botched chair duels! Honest to god, CHAIR DUELS! Its not freaking rocket science! It’s not like a 630 splash! It’s as easy as any superkick, which incidentally, guess what? VAMPIRO BOTCHED THAT ON COUNTLESS OCCASSIONS TOO! He chops like a sissy. You know when you hear Flair’s chops, or Steamboat’s, or Benoit’s, they sound like they’re ripping their chest. More fuel on the theory that Vampiro = -Flair. The man could have so many botchamania videos it would make Scott Steiner’s WWE run look like Ric Flair of 1989! And the worst thing is, when he screws up he breaks Rule #1: YOU NEVER REPEAT THE SPOT! Idiot … Vampiro is a danger to anybody he ever got in the ring with, but people loved his goth persona, so he got super pushed! Wow, it says something about WCW when Vampiro, epic fail goth with no talent, no real charisma, botches everything, can’t sell for shit and overall dumbass. I used to watch WCW in 2000, and he was the worst thing about the whole show, every week (and for WCW in 2000, that’s big talking!).

You want to know how bad Vampiro is? He had a bad match with Finlay. FIT FINLAY! DAVE FINLAY! Vampiro’s entire offense consists of: wimpy chop, spin kick, botched superkick and whatever he chose his finisher to be. Wow, I can see why you’re so loved.

Sorry for the rant, but I really can’t stand Vampiro, and yes I’m biased, I hate the guy, and yes, I might be unfair, but quite frankly, the man is a danger to all wrestlers and needs to stop his job so he can focus on his awful band …

That is one heck of a post, I see why it took four days, lat.

But what you said is true, minus the curse words and what not. He has put so many wrestlers in danger, he has botched so many moves, and has wasted so much of my time. He really doen't deserve to be a wrestler, even those 15 year old backyard morons can be better than him.

Don't worry, I held back on Vampiro :P And it's not taken me four days to write that, I've been away. Vampiro is practically the only wrestler I hate so passionately to rant like that, because he is just so undeserving of any praise whatsoever, simply based on his matches which are actually a chore to watch.

Please, no more Vampiro.

Anyway, overrated wrestlers, I'm probably still sticking with Undertaker to be honest. I wouldn't really agree with Hogan since not many people claim him to be a great wrestler, just a wonderful entertainer, and he is. When on camera that is.

Triple H of 2003-2005 comes to mind as well, which is funny since I'm a big believer that Triple H of 2000-2001 was as good as ANY wrestler in ANY company at ANY time. British Bulldog is usually overrated too. For any indy fans out there, I'd probably say Austin Aries is slightly overrated by the internet as well. Good wrestler, but not the god that ROH fans like to think :P

You know who I still think is overrated.

I think Austin Aries isn't too bad, but I think that Roderick Strong was a tad better. Nigel Mcguiness, Steen, and Generico are also better than Aries.

Maybe not McGuiness, I think they're both as good as each other (and McGuiness isn't as widely praised as Aries, hence why he wasn't mentioned) but Strong and Generico are both better, from what I've seen.

Although, Aries was in my favorite match ever, so I guess that's something :P

He can put on great matches, and I loved him as Austin Star in TNA. It was priceless. I love watching Strong compete, partly because he has a new backbreaker every night, and I'm a big mark for new moves. Generico is always great to watch, such a great wrestler. Plus you may see this:

Kevin Steen is good also. As you know, I also like watching Evans wrestle, lat.
