I dont care much about graphics my self, but the ps3 has more power to say have bigger maps and stuff
also if they dont let PS2 die the PS3 cant grow much cause people wont be obligated to pick up a PS3
Sony needs to focus on the current gen and quit living in the past so to speak
also backward compatability isnt that big of a deal, if you wanna play a older game then play it on PS2
its not like your PS2 has to go in the garbage if you get PS3

Over here in england its about £300 which equals to about $600, So either way us Brits are still paying a lot more then you guys even after reduced price, Plus im not really concerned at all going to Ps3 yet....Because im still very happy with the Ps2 also theres more important things for me to buy other then Next Gen.
I noticed something about Ps1 games, If you look hard enough you will still find Ps1 games theres a few places that still sell them near where i am, People still have them and even trade them in to get another game.

well let's see....I'm on a very limited budget since I'm disabled....so my answer to you're 400 isn't low enough....I Don't Think So....
and when it comes to PS1 games there's still a couple I'd play if I could find them again.....Dino Crisis 1 & 2
No the PS2 shouldn't die off yet.....and people who were willing to pay the highway robbery prices for a PS3 in my opinion need their heads examined.....I won't buy anything until the price drops to a very respectable range and $400.00 isn't a respectable range in my opinion

also I dont care about how the ps1 was out at the same time as ps2, thats history its irrelavent to NOW
also Im sick of people calling it next gen, its CURRENT gen
and about the price: 400 IS a respectable price, maybe not low enough for some but it is respectable due to the tech in it

they try to say that such and such is an over so and so value....that's to get kids and adults who don't know any better to go out and pay an exorbatant price for something that is only worth maybe 2/3 the asked amount and that's a kind estimate....
I work on computers every day and I know that the prices asked for by Gateway, Dell, HP and the rest are just plain ridiculous....you go and build the exact same thing for less than half the price....the same goes for the PS3....now we can't just go and build one ourselves like we can a computer but the fact remains that you can educate yourself and tell what something is really worth and believe me a PS3 isn't worth it.....they won't lower the price because they know that there is someone out there willing to pay for it which in my mind is ludicrous

Its about $600 for a 80 Gig PS3 in Canada, we don't get the US price. The 40 Gig PS3 is about $400-450, but to me its worthless, if I can't play PS2 & PS1 games on it, why bother, I will have to save up for the more expensive one.
