Gears of War, Halo 3 and COD4 are the 3 main games that stuff up the 360. It's just... ridiculous! I don't see the point of getting games on 360 if they're just going to break.

I have about 20 360 games, none have broke, just lay the console down and dont stand it up and you'll be fine trust me, and if your worried about scratches get the disc cover things (only 2 of my games have scratches and I dont use those + the games still work)

but if you still are feeling uneasy about 360-save up money till you can get enough for PS3 then...or get a wii

Disc scratches on the Xbox 360 is not high as the Red ring of death. So no it's not going to break that easily. Also, what do you mean by stuff up the system?

EVERY CONSOLE SCRATCHES. PS2 was a ***** for it. My Halo 3 is scratched to death but works fines. Just because they have a scratch on it does not mean there not going to work. If you scared about scratches don't but your disc's in a DVD Drive.

Oh, sorry, my mistake, I mean those are the main games that just scratch so easily.

From what I've heard, standing your console up vertically definitely increases the risk of damaging games. Some guy at a game store told me that.

Does that go for any other console that can stand?

Problem with my 360....

I've had this 360 since june and have had absolutely no problems with it. When ever i try playing a video game it freezez and gives me a green checkerboard screen and just stays like that.

I've tried putting in many games and it freezes; for it's Gears(and CoD4) at the menu screen where the whole screen goes black and for Kane and Lynch, it will let me load a save game but then freeze at a cut scene.
This is very frustrating as i just got home from work and want to have some playing time.
Anyone have had similar problems or know how to fix it?

Hope this isnt a sign for RRoD

Third RROD since November 23rd

This is getting a tad ridiculous. Tonight I just got my THIRD RROD since November 23rd (the first time I experienced it). I got the box back the first time and it didn't even boot up one time with the RROD - it was dead like that didn't even attempt to fix it. THAT pissed me off. I got it back for the second time on December 31 and it worked exactly one week and one day and now it's ****ed again. I ranted and raved on the phone with them tonight but all they did (after an hour of bitching and talking to three different people) was promise me that they'd overnight the shipping box to me and also have the unit overnighted to the repair center. They also told me that they'd request for the device to be replaced (not repaired) but they couldn't promise me that I would get a new one. I told them that that wasn't acceptable but they just simply wouldn't budge. They ended up giving me a free game - PGR4.

whatever - I'm still extrememly pissed. Hopefully I'll get a completely new box this time around.

The customer service rep (the last one I talked to) did tell me that if it happened a fourth time that they had another process that they would use to solve my problem but she couldn't give me the details of that. I'm sure it was just a line of shit... I doubt 4 times will get me an special treatment.

Anyone experience RROD more than three times??

Xbox broke this morning

hi guys this is what has happened to my xbox 360 arcade edition

last night i was playing nhl 08 for about an hour and switched it off after and unplugged everything after and went to bed. In the morning i went downstairs and found my xbox covered in a sticky water subtance it was all over the controllers and games the cases of games are ruined and the controllers do not switch on neither does the console but when i picked up the console water was just dripping out of the console.

i rang up microsoft support and asked if there is any liquid based substance inside the xbox and they avoided the question not giving me a straight answer.

can anyone else have any advice or knows what has gone wrong lol as i just no clue and am just pissed off

thanks please help

Damn, I know everything will brake eventually, but not this quickly!

obviously you dont want a 360 cause you continue to find things wrong with it

My 360/my friends who have 360s hasnt broke

alot of the time consoles are put in an area that it cant breath which makes it overheat
also the input plug ring is confused for RRODs when all they have to do is plug it back in

its the ones that RROD happens to that come online and complain, people that RROD doesnt happen to generally dont "brag" about it online, which is why you hear more bad than good

Oh, your right. Your totally right! I haven't even thought of that. I only looked up online to see information, I did find some, but it mainly came up with all this complaints about the RRoD. Well, I'm deff. buying a 360.
