TNA-Listers: Kurt Angle
It's true. It's damn true.

August 26, 2008 - For a few years now, the wrestling game business has been a one company show, but Midway will change all of that this September when the men and women from TNA elbow drop their way onto your favorite console. However, it's been hard to get a good look at TNA iMPACT!. IGNers have played the game at events, but we've never had the chance to just sit down and tear this game apart.
Thankfully, TNA-Listers is going to fix that and bring you along for the ride. iMPACT! is now in the office, and we're going to show you every wrestler and every finisher while giving you a little tidbit of how the day's brawler played. Believe it or not, fans, we're into the final two weeks of our look at the roster. If you want to see everyone who will be making their way to the ring in TNA iMPACT!, you're going to need to check IGN Monday, Tuesday, and Friday of this week and Tuesday and Friday of next.
Ring the damn bell.
What's not to love about Kurt Angle?
After kicking ass in the NCAA, Angle won the gold in the 1996 Olympics and eventually ended up in the WWE where he went on an initial unbeaten tear before becoming one of the company's main eventers and racking up just about every title the place had to offer. In 2006, Angle headed to TNA. Here, Angle's held the world heavyweight championship, the tag team title, and the X Division Championship. He's even found work for his wife.
In my mind, Angle plays exactly like he should in TNA iMPACT!. His most basic grapple -- just a tap of the grapple button -- is a belly-to-belly suplex, he's got a snap suplex, there's an eye rake in there, and his head and leg submission holds (no ankle lock) look natural. Angle feels like a solid technician who works specific body parts. He's animated well, the Olympic Slam looks great, and the celebration right after the finisher is spot on.
