When you didn't know you had to do Summer Reading for school. <_<

I just checked my Highschool's website. AP classes are required to read 2 books from a list during the summer and they're gonna test you on them. I'm so fucked.

You do know you can manually put in album art... I don't know why so many people hate iTunes, other than the fact that it's a bit resource intensive, which is a null point anyway unless your computer is like 10 years old.
I know but I shouldn't have to if the album is on iTunes Store.

Yea, this. They're digging mine up right now... oh, and they also have a big ass tractor thing blocking my driveway so I'm kinda stuck here. <_<

I hate it when people ask you (or your girlfriend) about your sex life... makes me wanna skin a puppy and blend it, then feed it to the fucker who can't mind their own business.

Yes. Expectually if its her friends, and they're dudes. They'll do it the second she walks out of the room we're in. It pisses me off. I'm just like, fuck off. When my friends ask me, its not so weird, mainly because they've just been like "So, all I want to know is, have you two fucked yet?" And that was all they've asked me about it.

It's not so much that I hate itunes as I hate it's method of 'organization' where it needs rather large (by comparison with any other popular media player out there) files to keep track of it's organization. I moreso hate the fact that I NEED it on my computer if I want to transfer music to an Ipod in a supported manner.

I also hate the fact that if you go to another computer and load the songs from that PC it wipes everything else off. I have 3 PC's, each of which I have some different music on from the others. I don't want to have to go through file sharing setup and a full sync to add three songs at the risk of removing everything else.

Why not just do what I do and put them all on an external hard drive. Nowadays they are MUCH cheaper from 2 years ago. Got a nice 2TB EHD I'm using right now and I keep all of my songs on there. With that you can just easily transfer all your songs from computer to computer with a USB, and as long as it's the same drive letter, it would work on all iTunes.

I have an external Hard-drive actually. a 750GB pocket style one (got it for free when I RMA'd a broken 500GB exHDD and bitched enough that they wouldn't fix it because the serial No. barcode rubbed off. I wasn't complaining with the upgrade though. lol)I just have a tendancy of backup EVERYTHING on it, and since I fully format my main PC every 6 months or so as sort of a maintenance thing, it filled quickly. Also, doing this will remove itunes and will still force me to wipe the entire iPod to rewrite the same songs on.

But the problem still lies in the fact it wipes the thing every time you plug it in to sync it. Why not just add the new songs and append the organization files? That's like taking everything out of your wallet, including drivers license, and placing it back where it was every time you buy a soda or candy bar vs. taking out 2 bucks.

Yeah I backup everything on my EHD as well. Actually I just save everything there. But man I really want to start formatting my computer every 6 months as well, but I just never do it because there are so many programs I'd have to reinstall and I really just don't feel like doing all of that.

But before you format, you can just back-up your entire iTunes library. Afterwards you can reinstall iTunes, import your library which takes a few seconds I believe, and your entire library with ratings, plays, playlists will be saved. But like I said before, just gotta make sure the drive you have your songs on is the same drive letter as before, or it will count all of them as missing. I learned that from experience.

I'm not really sure how it syncs with the iPod, as I sync about 1,000+ songs each time. But I still suggest just getting an EHD for holding your songs or anything else you want to store, instead of having miscellaneous songs on multiple iTunes accounts on multiple computers. That sounds really confusing.

It's all one iTunes account. But I don't like the hassle of having to install a secondary media player to sync the music. I already have media player on the PC and much prefer the layout of the albums and whatnot anywho. So why should I have to use a program I have to download and install when I have something that's already there and does essentially the same thing? I like the visualizations on iTunes better but I'm not going to be watching the thing all the time I listen to music. Sometimes I just like a little ear blasting when I'm programming or working with Photoshop.

Which ON that note... You said iTunes uses more resources right? We all know that compiling a program can be very resource intensive (I hope) so on Photoshop, I work with images that contain literally hundred of layers at a time at 4096x4096 pixels (Specifically extremely detailed texture packs for Minecraft [a single PSD is 200+MB]) And in rare occasions (when making images to USE in a said program on the fly), I do both of these at once. Now I have Photoshop and my compiler running off a 8GB SSD which really helps, but even a little extra resources being used by another program still really slows the process (especially saving and compiling). But I am still not terribly worried about that.

On the note of itunes again, in WMP I don't need to backup library files, I just tell media player where my music is and it's all there in a flash, in most cases I don't even need to let it know that I HAVE new music and it'l know if I maintain my organization. I also don't get double and incorrect listing problems like I do in iTunes due to slight variance in artist/song names such as 'abc' vs. 'Abc'.

Another reason I don't like having to install itunes is that I like to keep a select list of 'must haves' that I will install on a fresh OS, those being things like Drivers, java, flash, XNA & .Net frameworks, Firefox, Windows Live Messenger, etc. to keep the pain of doing so minimal. Adding more than the bare essentials simply adds to the time needed to set everything back up to a preferable work area. :-/

I should note when it comes to computers BTW, I am a heavy minimalist. If a program does more than I need it for, I try to find a different program or at least one built into the OS I am using.

I hate when my dad says things that don't make sense.

He told me that I can't go to my girlfriend's house and spend the day there, but she could come here. Problem with that is she doesn't have a car, I'm not allowed to use the car until I get another job so I can pay for gas, but when she offered to give me gas money to get her he says no. How the fuck is she suppose to get out here then?
