Personally, I find that the SVR games suck a huge load. Ever since they began the SVR series they started limiting the games and taking the elements of fun out of previous games. All with the indirect excuse being to make the games more "realistic".
It's gotten so bad that with SVR2010 you can't even have JACKETS to PANTS in CAW mode because according to the developers, it's not "realistic".

What's bothering about this is that they are doing a piss poor job at the realism too. Certain other games are not, AJPW3 gets praised for it's realistic gameplay and it isn't glitchy as hell either.

Well anyway. A while ago me and a friend hung out and decided to play some SYM, thereafter HCTP. We were reminded of how awesome and fun these games are. HCTP even looks gorgeous on what is the PS2.
We had made two videos with SVR09 but it wasn't much fun, making the second one was so straining we forced ourselves to finish it.

We decided to make a video with SYM and HCTP. As a tribute to those older Smackdown games which were actually fun to play and to remind people of how the Smackdown games once were.

Also, because making a video with these older games is actually fun. Because the game is fun, you actually play it for fun and you come up with a bunch of spots in the process. The newer games you don't even play to begin with and if you wanna make a video you sit and look through the move-list for ideas.

So, tell me what you think of our video and spread it around if you'd like.

They're edits.

He starts one move and clips it into another in his editing program.

Sweet vid teryo, I thought you disappeared off of this place.

Actually I watched the whole thing and there are no edits. Those are moves/combos you can do on the game. Even in SVR06 recently, I played online in a 4way and I got Stunnered > German Suplex > Spear without even landing on my feet. I thought that was a awesome combo for online gameplay.

This seemed to be the best place to ask my question seeing as it has to do with older wrestling games. I was wondering if there was any extensive archive of codes for Smackdown: Just Bring It. Specifically, I am looking for a Jokering code.

There's a section specifically for older Smackdown games right below this one.

I did see that, but it only has Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain. I think Code-X was founded after the reign of JBI. I was just hoping that sombody had JBI codes , or one of the code makers here could find the JBI joker code for me.

There are no hacks or edits in this video? ^^ Haha. We wanted to make something real old school, just a bunch of double teams, dives, table carnage. :D

Well. I come here every once in a while when I feel like I have something to say. Which is promote my vids. ;)

Yeah it was online while I was playing a TLC Fatal Four Way online with my buds. One of them had a stunner as a finisher and stunnered me, while I was in the air a guy came and did the back running grab (german suplex), and while I was in the animation, the third guy glitched me with a spear. Even though I was the one getting abused, it was pretty sick.

Just Bring It was and still is the crown jewel of wrestling games for me.

A. It had Tornado as a call name, lol
B. Commentating was shaddy, but it was still awesome hearing STUNNER!!
C. Fred Durst!!

I didn't think 08 was as bad as 07, if nothing else the new superstar styles things were fun to screw around with. Never got into 07 at all though.

06 is the earliest I've played, and is by far the best. Were it not for the fact that I don't get the PS2 out too much anymore and the face button grappling system is too much of a pain in the ass to relearn, I'd probably still play it to this day.

I just found 07 to be a less interesting version of 06. I'm fairly sure that was the year they glitched GM mode so you couldn't play it properly, too. 08 at least had the superstar styles to screw around with.

Didn't play either of them for all that long, though.

O_O Awesomeness indeed!
I really love this kind of videos.
And remember when I did these things with a friend log time ago.

I have a question, since we´re remembering HCTP/SYM:
How did the Diva manager storyline was on HCTP? cuz i want to redo it on 2010, but i forgot how it was. I could play my HCTP, but i´m currently 2 weeks before WM on it.

^ Cant remember seeing that as a play through. I'll have to check that soon....

The reason I loved 07 / 08 was the movesets really. 08 lost A LOT of moves, plsu the restraints they placed with the "classes" meant alot of good moves couldn't be used. I remember to this day that I had thr Shooting Star and Houston hang over as normal dives in 07, Something I couldn't even get close to in 08.
