PS2, for two reasons.
1. It's cheaper than buying a next-gen system and the game to go with it.
2. Hacks that allow one to update/modify one's name to one's tastes.

Xbox 360.
It's the system I got it for last year. While I missed the ability to hack the game, I quickly learned that while hacking is a nice benefit, it's not always needed for enjoyability. The only hack that I actually missed having was the Body Hair to Hair hack for CAW's. But I learned to live with the loss.
Besides... the 360 and PS3 versions (Although i wouldn't buy that overpriced piece of junk PS3 even if I had the money for one) are SUPPOSED to focus more on simulation and other aspects like this. They are promising that they are targeting the strengths of the particular system, and this year, I want my 360 version to be WORTH it.
And since this year, there's absolutely no reason for them not to include custom uploadable themes (The only excuse they could possibly have had for not having it last year was "lack of time to put it in", they have NO excuse this year.), i'll be getting it for that capability (hopefully) and any others they decide to include.
But i'm sure that my decision on whether or not this will happen will become clearer to me as more information comes out. Until then, i'm banking on the 360 version, hoping that this time it will be worth it.
If they end up majorly screwing up the potential for the next-gen consoles (again), then i'll get a PS2 version for my PS2. But only becuase the game itself will be $10 cheaper.

Yes, CAWS for next gen have twice the layers.
