According to a filing made yesterday with Securities and Exchange Commision, Time-Warner purchased Midway Games on July 10th for $49 million.
Included in the filing, Time Warner noted that all of Midway’s corporate employees have been given a 60 days notice that their Chicago offices will be closing.
In addition, the sale did not include their San Diego studio, which is the studio that developed the TNA iMPACT videogame license. This means, the TNA license has only a limited time to be sold.
As of press time, there is no indication as to what happens to the TNA license and the development of their second Impact game if no buyer is found.

THQ should buy it
Someone should pick it up. Its got the potential to be a big franchise.

THQ buys it then it has the risk of being shelfed.
I agree though that TNA Game Franchise as good potential to be a big name player in the gaming industry. Ashame things happened this way as i was looking forward to another TNA Impact game.

I wouldn't be surprised if THQ picked it up considering they do publish WWE & UFC games. Possibly if WWE drops Yukes/THQ this could happen.

EA has got it written all over sadly.
And that IS a good thing in one perspective.
After all, since it'll be the first of their series they cant copy and paste last years version.

If EA get I dont expect the game to be any good. But if THQ get I have no hope in the game at all. It will turn out like that other copy and paste wrestling series.
