how big should the bg img be and how do i make the site logo go on top and not the left.

when i put a logo it go`s on the upper left and i want it to be in the middle and what size would be good for a background image.

If you are talking for a website then use the tags below and place the one without the slash on the left side and the one with a slash on the right side of the image tags.

As for the background image;
correct me if im wrong but i thinks its 800 x 600.

Not 800x600 That would stretch the screen. I suggest 770x300
Edit: Oop. Sorry about any confusion. I was thinking a site BG. Vermillion is right about the size of the background. It usually ranges from 800x600 to 1280x1024 depending on what you have your resolution set to.
