The Future of WWE SD!
WWE.com is featuring a new article taking a look at the Smackdown brand, in anticipation of the "Super Smackdown" special which will air live next Tuesday night. While the article of course is a story line piece as it's posted on WWE.com, several sources have noted that internally WWE is looking at this Tuesday night special as a test for a possible new SD! time slot, depending on how well it performs.

The following is an excerpt from the WWE article:

"Even though Raw stands firm as the longest running episodic show on cable television, SmackDown's edgy, often-controversial action has run the table on the latter part of the week for more than a decade – first on Thursdays, then on Fridays. With all it has accomplished, Teddy Long knows as much as anyone that there is no limit to where the show can go."

Thanks to Eric Cortes for sending this in: WWE announced at last night's Raw live event that the first episode of Monday Night Raw in 2012 will take place at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee. The taping will take place on January 2nd.
