I must say I'm sort of dissapointed, no Cade or Murdoch? No London and Kendrick? No Shelton?!!?

I hope the downloadable superstars come in handy this year.

Shelton is one of my all time faves. They could have done without Regal as a wrestler or Snitsky to put in one of the greatest IC champs of all time. Well that leaves more for me to make in CAW mode.

I'm glad to see Sabu, Funk and Dreamer in though. Cryme Tyme's in as well as MVP so this is all good. I'm pretty satisfied with the roster.

52 superstars including divas and legends...disappointing roster number...satisfying roster. I have a feeling they made the count so small so that the ps2 could handle it, and ppl like Deuce and Domino, Londrick, Shelton, Marella, Etc. will be available on the next gen consoles via downloadable superstars. Here's to praying for a downloadable Shannon Moore and Chuck Palumbo!

Yes, this is the official roster. I'm actually slightly disappointed in this.

Missing wrestlers: No Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Victoria and others.

Released wrestlers: Cryme Tyme released. Sabu released.

Non-wrestling: Kelly Kelly on the roster; Yet Maria is an NPC and Victoria is nowhere to be found.

Legends: The current Legends roster is disappointing to me.

Hopefully there will be Downloadable stuff for X360/PS3 this year to fix this.

Edit - SvR2008JeffHardy: Yes, Cryme Tyme and Eugene were released.

I hope that the 360 has the downloadable feature becuase that would make the game better for me, and everyone else in their prefernece.

i agree this roster is probably small since they are still supporting the ps2 as a major platform. fans everywhere in the meantime will be praying for downloadable content.

I'm almost positive the next-gen consoles will make up for this in downloadable content. The current roster sucks only because they wanted the simultaneous releases for all the platforms to be equal. THQ/Yukes, no matter HOW lazy they are, wouldn't release a game this half-assed.

I'm kind of disappointed by the roster, No London/Kendrick, Haas/Benjamin or Victoria, but Sabu, Ashley & Cryme Tyme make it. RVD got released after Sabu did, but he's not in :confused:

LOL!!!! The PSP roster has more than the consoles! they have More legends, I.E: Neidhart, SGT. Slaughter, and Eddie. I'm sorry but it's hard not to laugh at that. Needless to say, I'm now getting it both for PSP and PS3.

Oh, trust me.. if you go ANYWHERE else right now, you'll see that on OTHER sites, it's gotten INCREDIBLY out of hand. It's so bad that it's almost like a full scale war has broken out.

Frankly, I think the roster is decent, but the current *ahem* "#1 source" of SDvR08 news on the internet has just gone insane with whiny people posting at least 6 threads a minute about how they aren't buying the game and over-using exclamation marks saying how "THQ CAN SUCK IT!!!!!111" and a bunch of other insane, out of hand 5 year olds, crying over it.

Which is why i'm very pleased to find that on at least, the "Code X" corner of the internet regarding this game, the world hasn't gone mad.

I mean, it has a few snags in it, but I think overall it's pretty ok.

Now, frankly speaking maybe the legends are a little on the "meh" side, as a lot of it are re-hashes from past games, and once again, Tag Teams are mostly missing...

But the game has some nice surprises. Sabu and Cryme Tyme. Also, Kenny Dykstra sort of came out of nowhere.

Here's hoping that the downloadable wrestlers are pretty good. Personally, I want Kevin Thorn, and Kendrick and London, and Shelton. So those will probably be coming soon after the game is released.

Almost on the verge of a disappointment, but I think it's sitting on the fence and still manages to be a decent roster, but that's just me. I still like it, and of course, i'm buying the game.
