O Well...It wouldnt hurt me...360 all the way! But it does suck for the Ps2 users out there. It almost makes no sense to not put online on a Ps2 knowing many ppl still have the Ps2 and not next gen systems. But as said by Antichrist its good their focusing on the newer consoles rather than the older one.

This is wonderful news. Now we won't have n00b members on here saying "luk @ mah rekkurd. I b #1 on da leadaboards! i pwn j00 n00bs wit mah 1337 haxxx!!". But, I do feel bad for those who did play PS2 online fairly.

Oh well, doesn't really bother me, seeing as I don't play online.

Honestly, they might should limit it to just trading and DLC if people are still playing ******* online. Played last night and used LHW Dykstra and everyone kept picking ******* default looking caws. Could you imagine if someone who made the game tried to play online. lol Im sure they have.

This was already confirmed in my post as well. The people of Destructoid had hands on time with all versions of the game and spoke personally with THQ about the games. I think it's safe to take the word of someone who's actually played the game.

With 3 or 4 different sources having confirmed it, independently of each other already, it's not looking likely, but... ok. :P

Oh and by the way, I still couldn't actually care less if the PS2 version has no online. Online is basically unplayable, due to hacks, anyway.

Here's what I want to say, though. I hope no one ends up blaming THQ or Yukes for this. Want someone to blame? Blame all of the cheaters and hackers online that really did ruin it for everyone else. They are the ones that made the situation as it is and got Online play for PS2 removed for everyone else. They should be the recipients of any anger from PS2 fans.

Just wanted to mention that.

Tell me why wouldnt there be online? They know its one of the main features of the game. Honestly I think 07 sux...I only played it during the summer because of Online. If PS2 doesn't have online I won't even get it all all....Because 24/7 mode will last me 5 days and Ill put it on the shelf (Same thing I did with 07 but picked it back up 6 months later because of Online (RP)). If SvR07 doesn't have online it is a load off my back because I will just get madden and play that. And 06 Online was way worst then 07 online. (I learned some very bad words I didnt know before when I played SvR06 online...)

They nixed online for the PS2 version for the same reason a lot of companies are shutting down servers for many of their PS2 games with online, they don't want to waste money supporting the servers on a dying system when their concern should be on current gen systems.

I wouldn't even blame it on cheaters/hackers as I doubt THQ/Yukes really cared that much about it to begin with. People still played online and people still bought their games, they weren't losing anything over the asshat cheaters.
