Let's say you have the choice to sign with either a Major label or an Indie label, which one would you pick? I'd pick the Indie one by far. More control over your own music is probably why I would pick Indie > Major. Let's say after that you have money, and a good fan base then I would sign with a Major Label.

So what would you choose if you had a chance?

It all depends on the deal. If I can get a deal where I own my masters (all the rights to all my songs) and I have creative control then I would sign to a major. The only thing I would have to worry about is getting shelved and trying to work my way out of the label. But if I were on an indie label it seems like they are literally in charge of were they want to take there career, as far as marketing, touring ect. Which maybe a lot more work, but you can make more money per CD sold or per person at your show than you can as a major artist because you don't have a crowd of people in charge of what direction they're taking you.

Wow I'm with Devil on this one perfectly...I like that idea of you being in charege and everything, but then again, the workload and responsibilities could add up...so yup it just depends
