The promotional poster for WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event has been released and it features Kane, who is currently inactive. WWE.com announced July 23 that he would be sidelined for at least three months after suffering a fractured fibula. He sustained the injury while being attacked by Mark Henry on the July 22 episode of SmackDown, which occurred moments after losing to Randy Orton in a Street Fight.

The event takes places Sunday, Oct. 2 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the New Orleans Arena.

It does make sense to feature Kane or The Undertake though on a poster like this seeing how they are famous for being in these types of matches, although they could of also made this months in advanced before Kane got hurt, then again they could of accidentally (or purposely) spoiled him coming back at the PPV, then again he may not even appear at all as this is just a promotional poster. They could of also easily featured Triple H on this poster, but then again he is the "COO" on TV so that probably wouldn't of worked out either, and as far as we know his injury might have been staged anyways. I guess time will tell.

Anyone else just totally uninterested by the Hell in a Cell matches now? I think that the bar was set way too high far too soon when this match was first introduced and in recent years it has just become an extreme rules match within a cell - mainly since the PG era (I hate to blame that for things since it is such a lame excuse but in this case it has clearly watered down the concept).

I mean the Cell WAS the weapon when these matches first began - throwing people into and through the cell was all apart of the excitement, brawling on the cell was jaw dropping stuff especially when people were being thrown from the cell... I get why they don't do some of this stuff now, it isn't just because of PG it is because they clearly don't want someone to severely hurt themselves but after seeing those early hell in a cell matches I don't think you can watch one of these most recent ones and think "yeah that shit was a good HIAC match."

Like I said, the cell has just become another way to give the extreme rules match a make over rather than it be the weapon itself and that kind of disappoints me.
