IN the UK Lays is known as Walkers - both are the exact same company - just operating under a different name... even the logo is the same.

It's like Hardee's and Carl's Jr., it's the same thing but called something different depending on where you go. Dunno if you guys have either in your countries, but this is apparently how it's split up over here in the U.S.

Posted Image

I can understand being different in other countries, but it's kinda weird when you split it like this in one single country. I don't think I know of any other company that does this.

Why do they change up the names... why not keep the same name for all over the world?

I don't know about other brands but Walkers in the UK has been known as the leading snack brand when it comes to potato based products (crisps - or chips as the Americans know them, etc) for over a hundred years. When Walkers was bought out by Frito-Lay (aka the PepsiCo) years back, Lays decided to carry on trading in the UK and Ireland as Walkers because the name and brand was already established here and had become iconic. So while the marketing like the logo and probably some of the flavours are all the same they just trade under different names because that is what the people recognise in that area/country.

Walkers also contain about 3 crisps (or chips) in them.

A regular bag weigh 27grams net - there's not a lot in one bag at that weight, lol but you can get what we call grab-a-bags that are 35-50grams (I foget exactly) and then there's special varieties like the sensations that come in big ass bags around 125grams.

It just depends what you want and where you are buying... My favourite snacks are Doritos though, I know they aren't strictly a chip/crisp but they are soooo nice! and you can get the big ass bags everywhere too.
