ever wondered what the masked wrestlers really look like? well here are a few that i found

Abyss


Rey Mysterio


Vader


Ultimate Warrior


Kiss Demon


Sting


most will have probably been seen before but may be new to others

I don't think it's a good idea to show some of the wrestlers faces like Rey Mysterio because some people may have never seen when he was unmasked and might not want to see what his identity is yet.

The original KISS Demon was Brian Adams by the way, but they passed the gimmick off onto someone else.

Anyway, some of those guys really don't need to be shown. I mean Vader? He wrestled quite a bit unmasked and even still his mask most of the time was pretty much just a red strap. It's kind of easy to see his face. Also, people who wear face paint shouldn't count since you can easily tell what they look like without it on.

Abyss doesn't look nearly as tough as I thought he would being that size and all. Well, he has good taste anyway for being a Kane/Mankind rip off.

To see Ray all you have to do is go back to some of the old WCW shows and you will see him clearly. So his identity hasn't really been secret at all the mask was WWE`s doing.

how exactly is he a mankind/kane ripoff??

he doesnt even have the same gimmick or the same moveset...he wears a mask, wow...

really abyss is nothing like kane or mankind and imo is a better in ring worker than both..

kane has always been slow and steady with power moves and mankind was a brawler/extreme spot wrestler..

i really dont see how people can say abyss is a cheap ripoff

and also if people didnt want to see their identities then they wouldnt look in the thread as it is titled 'Masked Wrestlers Unmasked' which kinda gives you a clue as to what it is about

Rey looks... Smaller unmasked. Mabye it's because he's not wearing a shirt too. But he looks very small.

rey lost a mask vs hair match in wcw. He wrestled without for like a year. As for face paint, it was hard for me to see what ultimate warrior looked like, unless his paint got off in a match. sting was not as hard though.

ANyone with two working eyes and half a brain can see that he is the world's most blatant Kane/Mankind ripoff.

Wow. Either you're being extremely naive, or just in denial that he's clearly ripped both gimmicks off at the same time.

I don't even need to back this up with any proof. If you look at him for more than 2 seconds, it's immediately apparent to anyone. It's every bit as clear as this new Judas or whatever his name is, TNA guy is an Undertaker rip off.

And what are you guys flapping your gums about? Abyss aint a goddamn'd rip off. With his mask on he looks nothing like Kane or Mankind, his music sounds nothing like Kanes, yah sure Kane was the only wrestler that couldn't talk, "look at him" nice cop out there mate, and so what...he carries thumbtacks - it's a neat little gimmick - like Mankind's the only wrestler in history to carry thumbtacks.

If you want a cheap Kane rip off watch IWA Puerto Rico (think that's how it's spelt) they got two of 'em - think one of 'em is called Lightening and the other's Thunder. But they're exact copies from the masks right down to the boots.

Abyss seems a little like Taker, Kane and Mankind all rolled into one. His mask is similar to Mankind, his posture and behaviour is alike to masked Kane, and he does the chokeslam like Taker. But in no way I think that it's a bad thing. In fact, he's a TNA original that I actually liked, not counting those formerly from WWE,WCW and ECW. And I have a CAW of him in my game which I placed in the Brothers' Of Destruction stable.

Honestly, I don't feel like arguing over Abyss. I mean it's obvious to pretty much everyone that he's a knock off except for Abyss fans who deny it up and down just because they like him. That's cool if you do, I didn't say he was bad. He could do worse for a gimmick, but stop fooling yourselves. He purposely moves and acts like a mixture of Masked Kane/Mankind, his mask looks like a mixture of Masked Kane and Mankind's as well and now I'm pretty sure he even had one that is red and black, not to mention I've seen the guy doing things such Mankind would with pulling his hair and rocking slightly, has pyro ala Kane last I saw, etc.

Also, like him all you want, and he's not bad, but don't ever try and compare him to Kane. Kane is way better from everything that I've saw of both of them. Hey, I'm Kane fan I can actually admit that he was originally just an Undertaker knock off, but at least his storyline called for it being that he is Undertaker's "brother". Abyss is not better than Kane, period. I'm sorry, but I can't allow someone to state that as if it's true.

In case anyone was wondering you can watch the Impostor Kane on Smackdown right now, he's now called Festus, he use to be the Freakin' Decon in OVW and his real name is Drew Hankinson.
