The character of Sin Cara returns this week on WWE Smackdown. As we have reported in the past, the individual that was planned to and did play the character at the tapings on 8/9 in Sacramento, CA of the returning Sin Cara was believed to have been Jorge Arias. Arias performs for WWE in Florida Championship Wrestling as Hunico. Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde is the name of the man originally playing Sin Cara and who wrestled under the name Mistico in Mexico.

Alvirde is coming close to completing his 30 day suspension with WWE for failing a drug test back in early June involving steroids. According to The Wrestling Observer, Arias playing the Sin Cara character could be turned into a storyline where the original Sin Cara(Alvirde) comes back and its revealed that Arias is an imposter. This would then set up a feud between the two which could be carried in to the WWE's tour in Mexico this fall.

Hopefully, the real Sin Cara comes back.

I just don't see why they didn't wait another week or two and have the real Sin Cara play the Sin Cara role. To me this looks like they are testing the water to see if anyone cares or notices and if they don't I feel they could possibly just release the real Sin Cara and use Hunico in the role instead.

Hopefully they go the rumoured way and have a feud between the two but how likely does it seem that they could make it work? the real Sin Cara still can't speak english properly if the dirt sheets are to be believed - how do you set up a story without at least some kind of promo to back things up?
