Busta Rhymes, Bun B, Tech N9ne, Cee Lo and John Legend are among Lil Wayne’s other collaborators on his highly anticipated new album…

Lil Wayne plans on ending his new album, the fourth installment of his highly successful Tha Carter series, with a bang. XXL has learned that the stream-of -conscious lyricist drafted other wordsmiths, Nas, Shyne and Jadakiss for an all-star posse cut that will close out the LP.

Contributing writer Shaheem Reid, who interviewed Weezy for XXL’s July/August 2011 cover story, had a chance to preview the disc and got a rundown of all of the set’s guest stars. As expected, Wayne has songs with his Young Money crew, along with Busta Rhymes, Bun B, Tech N9ne, Cee Lo, John Legend and will.i.am. Swizz Beatz, Bangladesh, Polow Da Don and Boi-1da all provided beats.

Wayne’s Tha Carter IV is scheduled to hit stores on August 29. As previously reported, the appetizer to the affair: a mixtape entitled Sorry 4 the Wait, will come out this Wednesday, July 13.

XXL’s July/August 2011 issue, featuring Lil Wayne, hits newsstands nationwide tomorrow. Fans can read an excerpt from the story on XXLMag.com later today. —XXL Staff
I predicted a Nas/Wayne joint ages ago & my prediction was right!

Sounds like it or a whole bunch of artists who'll be appearing on his album.

I'm more interested in the fact that the Tech N9ne track has apparently made the final cut. :)

I guess after about 5 "Finally...this will be the year" threads, it finally happened.

Hey now, that's what I said! The trouble is, there hasn't been any real clearly defined "moment" where things sky rocketed, and probably won't be. It's been a pretty steady climb for the past... I'd say, 3 years. So in a sense, each year has been the year, because something has happened which pushed him further into the spotlight.

So wait, is like every track going to feature someone else?

We got Nas, Shyne, Jada, Busta Rhymes, Bun B, Tech N9ne, Cee Lo, John Legend, Will.I.Am... AND people from Young Money. That's nine people minus Young Money, add them in and that's like what, 14, 15? I know some of the songs will probably feature more than one person, but shit, that's a ton of people. It sounds like there will be more songs with features than solo songs.

Blatant exploitation of rappers that quite frankly are much better, just to gain some sort of popularity. Sue me.

Well... Nas, Shyne & Jadakiss are all on the same track, so that cuts the number a little. You also have to consider that Cee-Lo, John Legend and Will.I.Am probably won't be your "usual feature" (that being, having "a 16") and are probably only doing hooks. More-so the first two, Will might do something more. But otherwise... eh. Pretty common in rap today, no? The days of "one MC, one DJ" are for the most part gone. *waits for Maka to turn up out of nowhere to toss out a bunch of underground and NY stuff that disproves that theory*

Still interested to see how the Tech feature turned out. Based on the current track list floating around, it's him, Wayne & Busta on a track called "Fast Track." :ermm:
