I come on here looking for something about ECW being replaced with "NXT". McMahon said it will change everything.
Does anyone have any info on this at all?

I heard it's a new WWE show where developmental wrestlers earn a chance at a WWE contract then go to Raw or Smackdown.

ECW Title might just be vacated and put away (like Cruiserweight and Hardcore championship). All ECW superstars will be "free agents". Some of the main ones (Christian, Ezekial, Regal, etc) will probably go to either SD! or Raw ASAP.

Tonight is the last episode of ECW with the last ECW title match and theres an undisputed tag titles match. I guess they're also trying to make the last episode "extreme" also. And then next week is NXT I think.

The only reason why this show is entertaining is because of Daniel Bryan.

I think it is basicly several young wrestlers who are under developemental contracts. Daniel Bryan looks to be a great talent from his matches i have seen on youtube.

I can honestly say that I have no interest in this, and I haven't watched it yet. The fact that they have The Miz "mentoring" Bryan Danielson is laughable.

Another person who fails to see the point of The Miz mentoring Bryan Danielson, which is to evoke the reaction it's been getting; disgust and disdain. That's what the whole show has been about, it's been Bryan trying to prove to the fans and himself that he isn't the rookie, and that he can beat The Miz. It's only been enhanced by people who have been spectacularly worked by it, people who believe that the WWE believe that The Miz is a veteran over AmDrag.

If they'd have done Jericho - Danielson and tried this angle, would it have worked? No, because it wouldn't have evoked such spectacular smark rage over Danielson being treated as a rookie, because Jericho genuinely is a veteran and a legend.

Also, The Miz CAN help him, in that he possesses a far superior look and mic skills, which he can help Danielson on.

Also toss in the fact that almost everyone wouldn't mind seeing The Miz get his butt kicked and who better then Daniel Bryan.

This! This! This!!!!!! If they'd have built Danielson up to be a real veteran of wrestling, given him everything easy and to the liking of the smarks then he wouldn't be getting over in the WWE with the real marks. Doing what they have done acomplishes many things.
1. It makes the smarks hate TheMiz more and want to see Danielson kick his ass.
2. It makes him the underdog without totally ignoring his history or diminishing him and making a face the underdog is the easiest way to put them over to the marks in the beginning.
3. It imediately sets up an out for him. Once he's "ready" they'll move him into a real fued with TheMiz perhaps for the US title and it allows The Miz to learn in the ring and Bryan to learn out of the ring.
4. As a result of 4, they don't have to have Bryan win NXT, this way they can build another star (like Gabriel for instance) without having to throw Bryan down our throats as the best on the show.

these are just a few examples.

As for my own thoughts on who'll stick around after this. Bryan, Gabriel, Ortunga and perhaps Darren Young.

I don't think much of the others. Slater isn't ready, they rushed him in, Skip Sheffield is a redkneck version of santino with bigger muscles, he's a joke wrestler and I don't think it'll last, Jericho's ***** is entirely forgetable (Burchill was a better British wrestler and he's gone) and Tarver isn't getting much exposure thus far making me care very little for him already.

Skip Sheffield is the kind of joke wrestler who no one laughs at. In fact, more of a joke of a wrestler, rather than a joke wrestler. He is easily the most irritating on screen character they have ever had on TV - I'd rather watch a Vickie Guerrero marathon than see another second of Sheffield.

I found the first 20 seconds funny but then it was all the same crap with no deviation, he just is a big dumb redkneck it isn't even a character... and you're right it is more of a joke of a wrestler situation than actually be a joke wrestler situation.

Thing is, he is the most impressive either way. Only other guy I could see winning is Justin Gabriel.

I would love to have Darren Young shave his head and join the SES, but I don't feel like he deserves to win NXT. Not quite there yet IMO.
